The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
This is a Full Time position located at the Sharp Copley building (San Diego County).
What You Will Do
This position is responsible for the accurate receiving and timely delivery of all incoming, supplies (or items) and equipment on campus to the requesting department. Responsible for identifying and tagging capital equipment and delivering all patient care equipment to Biomed for incoming inspection. Responsible for packaging, labeling and coordinating outbound shipments. Demonstrates a commitment to Sharp HealthCare's principles. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent GED. If hired to this role you will need to provide Sharp HealthCare with your high school diploma or GED.
- Must have experience with customer service and communicating professionally.

- Hospital experience.
Essential Functions

Acts as a liaison with department communicating delivery information.
Regularly accepts responsibility for department activities and reports all questionable matters to department leadership.

Utilizes proper telephone etiquette including promptly answering the phone, identifying oneself and the department, and displaying courtesy at all times. Also includes returning all calls promptly and relaying pertinent information. - Daily operations
Sorts incoming mail and packages/parcels from the US Postal Service and various commercial carriers (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, etc.).
Accurately receives all incoming items, including data entry and completion of paperwork.
Ensures product/equipment is delivered to requesting department.
Ensures departmental delivery signature for deliveries.
Facilitates delivery of all stock supplies the same day as received.
Facilitates delivery of non-stock orders within 24 hours.
Facilitates the delivery of priority items to appropriate areas within 2 hours of receipt.
Facilitates shipping of outbound products and equipment.
Appropriately packages/assists all outbound shipments according to Department of Transportation guidelines.
Accurately processes and delivers Capital items including completion of paperwork data entry, and asset tagging.
Ensures all properly addressed mail is sorted before the end of the day.
Creates/maintains filing system for packing slips, receivers, manifests, etc. allowing for easy document retrieval.
Prioritizes and completes tasks according to the needs of the department/hospital. - Problem resolution
Completes proper supporting documentation to facilitate return of damaged goods to manufacturer/shipper within 2 days of receipt.
Ensures that product received matches packing slip, contacting supplier about any discrepancies.
Investigates improperly or incomplete addressed mail to determine addressee department. - Quality
Responsible for checking package integrity and verifying expiration dates, removing and accounting for any items not meeting standard.
Regularly checks for compromised packaging and/or damage to any incoming equipment or supplies.
Maintains accuracy, thoroughness, neatness, clarity, and adherence to a high level of work.
Responsible for recommending process improvements. - Safety
Adheres to correct usage of proper body mechanics and material handling equipment and keeps an organized work environment.
Ensure all equipment is in good working order, escalating to department leadership immediately any broken, unsafe, or non-functioning equipment.
Ensures timely removal of corrugated cardboard.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- General knowledge of medical terminology and products preferred.
