Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of supplier sustainability engagement strategies, focusing on Environmental Sustainability and Sustainable Procurement (ES&SP).
- Drive assessment and baseline of ONW suppliers' ES&SP performance with an external partner to ensure transparency and understanding of Scope 3 upstream emissions.
- Actively engage and support suppliers with lower ES&SP scores to improve their performance, address Scope 3 upstream emissions, and implement cost-effective decarbonization and waste reduction practices that contribute to 'Green&Lean' initiatives.
- Work closely with suppliers to collect crucial data on product-related emissions, and explore opportunities for circular economy practices.
- Establish robust supplier performance management systems aligned with industry standards.
- Drive the development and delivering on internal sourcing sustainability KPIs and supplier sustainability KPIs, while maintaining a robust monthly reporting standard in collaboration with senior sourcing leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert, integrating ES&SP topics into global category strategies.
- Coordinate the deployment of category and sub-category sourcing strategies for associated supplier decarbonization programs in close collaboration with the Global Commodity Leaders and other key internal stakeholders.
- Play a key role in fostering synergies and operational efficiency across GE Vernova Wind's Supply Chain Sustainability initiatives by promoting collaboration, sharing knowledge, and exchanging best practices.
- Enhance both external and internal ES&SP expertise through tailored supplier training, internal stakeholder engagement, and educational initiatives.
- Participate in a global network of GE Vernova ESG & Sustainability professionals to align strategies and share best practices.
- Monitor and communicate external ES&SP Supply Chain requirements, including industry standards, customer expectations, industry peers' practices relevant to the GE Vernova ONW Wind business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science) plus 5 years' experience in Supply Chain or sourcing roles, with a focus on environmental sustainability, and a strong understanding of sustainable sourcing and circular economy concepts. OR
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science) plus 3 years' experience in Supply Chain or sourcing roles, with a focus on environmental sustainability, and a strong understanding of sustainable sourcing and circular economy concepts.

The salary range for this position is $87,300.00 - $145,500.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
