Description:

Works in the Production Planning and Control organization as a Scheduler, Make, Buy, or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.
Individuals could be assigned to Program or Manufacturing Operations.
Program Planning:
The individual will be responsible for the oversight of one or more of the various elements of program planning for the Fire Control or Tact program(s) including the release of purchase orders to Supply Chain Management for materials needed for the program. This position could include monitoring engineering changes and creation/updates to bills of material. Monitoring production schedules from various manufacturing centers here in Orlando as well as Ocala.
Work outside of the normal operating hours may be required.
Manufacturing Planning:
The individual will fill the requirement for a Factory Operations Manufacturing or Make Planner in one of four Production Operations Centers. Responsibilities will include scheduling and integrity of the MRP system for all assigned assemblies. Status and reporting of manufacturing build. Effective management of kit issues and fulfillment of hardware needs to support manufacturing build. Effective factory implementation and cut-in of engineering and process changes. Prioritization of workflow in partnership with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members.

Must be available to begin May/June 2024.

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Integrated Business.

Desired Skills:


Production planning and/or production operations experience
Skilled in the Microsoft Suite software with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, knowledge and application of PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Familiar with various production and manufacturing execution tools such as Z charts, Line of Balance , Red/Yellow and/or warehouse management.
Knowledge of SAP ERP applications with on hands experience data mining, formulating information and creating inventory control, procurement and/or production scheduling reports.Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.
Very good organization and communication skills
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce, or business.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
Ability to obtain Green Belt certification
ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
