The Procurement Intern will be supporting Risk Management, specifically emphasizing Environmental, Social, and Governance (E.S.G.) factors. The intern will collaborate with various teams within procurement to facilitate the integration of our suppliers into the EcoVadis system, which rates suppliers based on their E.S.G. practices. This project aims to enhance our supplier evaluation process and promote sustainable and responsible procurement practices. The intern will work closely with the procurement teams, gaining exposure to various aspects of procurement operations and supplier management. They will have the opportunity to develop skills in risk management, sustainability, data analysis, and project coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with different teams within procurement to understand their supplier base, requirements, and procurement processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate the onboarding process onto the EcoVadis platform.
- Support the development of communication strategies to engage suppliers in E.S.G. initiatives and encourage their participation in the EcoVadis system.
- Ensure smooth coordination and communication between procurement teams, suppliers, and the EcoVadis platform.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the risk management and E.S.G. integration processes within procurement.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Must be a current Junior, Senior, or Master's student: Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Procurement, Business Analytics, or related field
- Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Willingness and ability to take initiative
- Natural ability in relationship building & problem-solving with limited direction
- Functional capabilities with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint & Excel
