Job Summary
Learning the company’s logistics, implementing SAP, and assisting in improving best practices within the whole process of through to logistics.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Helping prepare Logistics team for SAP implementation
Work with Logistics key users to determine new work flows in SAP. Specifically focusing on freight order to vendor, entering freight pricing in SAP and non customer POs and payment. Flow chart these processes.
Work with Logistics team to document their current work flows for freight order to vendor, entering freight pricing in SAP and non customer POs. Flowchart these processes
Develop Opera job aids that detail best practices as well as how processes will change with SAP. Job aids will be used to train users.
Gathering best practices for rail car loading and vessel unloading
Travel to BPI terminals in Baltimore and Brunswick to observe and document rail car loading and vessel unloading. May also travel to local sites (SYL, MGK) to observe rail car loading.
Produce best practice job aids that will be used to train operators at the sites that include pictures, flowcharts and written instructions

Education/Experience Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain, engineering or other quantitative fields
