Job Description/Position Overview:
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perfrom some work onsite at one of the above-mentioned locations.

Position Summary:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of Product Line growth for Boeing Distribution Services Inc (BDSI).
Manage the BDSI Honeywell Licensed products & Purchase agreements, and work closely with the sales, customer programs and purchasing organizations on the execution and management of the related HON supply agreements, and support. Focuses on meeting the Product P&L performance objectives, and related KPI (Sales, Net Income, OTD, Supplier and Customer Past Due, Free Cash, Inventory, etc.). Reporting to the BDSI Product Line and Services Sr Mgr, and supporting the BDSI GM, and Leadership Team. Team leader, to provide direction and support the Sr Mgr managing, for a team of for 3 Individual Contributors HON Product Line teammates, that directly report to the Sr Mgr.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop global Market Segment strategies - manage product life cycle in each segment and maximize the performance (Price, Sales, Gross Margin %, and inventory). Includes strategic planning, and tactical activities and companywide go to market sales plans.
  • Develop sales and margin plan, and go to market strategies, and price/negotiation campaigns, in conjunction with the regional sales organizations and Sales Managers. Assist sales with new proposals.
  • Manage the Honeywell licensed products price catalog, and pricing strategy for the Honeywell licensed product, within BDSI to grow aftermarket sales and market share of OEM parts in the market; identify pricing optimization opportunities.
  • Assesses and maintains products' competitive position.
  • Identify opportunities for shared aftermarket leverage to expand distribution service agreements with suppliers inclusive of exclusivity or royalties.
  • Monitor cost of product; develop data and trend analysis; support and assist Supply Chain with strategies to reduce part cost and identify alternate sources of supply.
  • Assist in management of global product line forecast and validate planning system (JDA, SPM future state) output; develop and refine the risk profile for high value product line part numbers and make recommendations to Supply Chain on stocking levels for high risk part numbers.
  • Interface with Operations on product line specific OTD performance and global positioning of inventory.
  • Work across Product Line teams, Supplier Management, and Sales on leveraging opportunities, primarily on interrelated components to establish pricing model.
  • Work closely with BDSI technical support services team to review Honeywell CSB/CRB prospecting opportunities, and prepare BDSI to support the impending rollout and sales capture.
  • Work closely with BDSI QA Engineering to track and manage Honeywell part supersedes and obsolescence.
  • Responsible for assisting all Program Managers that have Hardware product line Program Management requirements and may include customer forecast development; assisting with price and cost analysis and initial provisioning.
  • Conduct training and information sessions for the product line or specific products to the various functions within the region - focus on product knowledge and customer/part familiarization.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
  • 6-8 years of related work experience
  • Related Knowledge of Aerospace spares distribution and related market dynamics, or experience working within the aviation industry
  • Ability to analyze and effectively summarize vast amounts of data across all facets of the business, to create actionable plans and make recommendations to the functions and leadership
  • Ability to work define problems, collect data, develop metrics, and work with financial concepts to make effective wise decisions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents
  • Develop/Maintain strong relationships internally and with external customers
  • Proficient with various inter-relational software programs (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related knowledge of Honeywell or other OEM aerospace components, fasteners, filters, and/or bearings products, and related market dynamics, and channel strategies
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
  • Or An equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.

Relocation:

Travel:
  • This position requires traveling up to 25% of the time.
