Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Technical Program Manager to guide a small, talented team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our web applications and technical systems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our engineering efforts align with business goals and deliver impactful results.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead a team of engineers including front-end, back-end, and QA engineers, fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous learning.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects for various web applications and technical systems, ensuring efficient task allocation, prioritization, and on-time delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Possess strong JIRA board/team management skills and familiarity with ecommerce applications and common third party tools (analytics & widgets)
- Requirements Analysis: Work closely with internal and external partners to understand their needs, conduct cost-benefit analyses of requested changes, and determine the feasibility of custom features.
- Feature Evaluation: Analyze all feature requests, including custom features, and recommend the optimal development approach (platform feature, custom feature, or rejection).
- Technical Communication: Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
- Project Documentation: Maintain clear and concise project documentation, including technical specifications, user stories, and system design documents.
- Problem-Solving: Approach challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in leading engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for building high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience conducting cost-benefit analyses and evaluating technical feasibility.
