The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an Education Program Manager to assist the education leadership team in assessing and implementing best practices in correctional education by utilizing LEAN Principles. This position assists in the planning, implementation, development, direction, review, alignment, evaluation, and expansion of ADCRR secondary and post-secondary programs. It also assists with projects involved in the research, selection, adoption, scheduling, and implementation of technology within the Education Bureau and the digitization of education curricula.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:
- Provides guidance and direction in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review, alignment, evaluation and expansion of ADCRR’s secondary and post-secondary programs
- Assists in the selection, adoption, scheduling, and organizing of standardized performance assessments
- Ensures that student assessment data is reviewed, analyzed and interpreted to flag and address system-wide instructional weak areas effectively
- Generates a variety of statistical reports as requested by the educational leadership team
- Oversees the management of all student data within ADCRR and ADE databases, analyzes trends in student attendance and achievement data, and assists in problem-solving for continuous improvement by using LEAN Principles
- Assists with projects involved in the research, selection, adoption, scheduling, and implementation of technology within the Education Bureau and the digitization of all academic education curriculum
- Assists in assuring the education objectives are aligned to ADCRR mission and vision as well as state, ADE, ACA, CEA, High-Reliability Schools, and/or College Board mandates, requirements and that instructional practices yield the highest standard of student achievement and excellence
- Assists in the design, selection, organization, implementation, and verification of training and professional development for all statewide education staff
- Drives on State business

Pre-Employment Requirements:
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:
Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
