Supervisory Financial Specialist (Accounts Payable)

Who may apply: Current, permanent DFAS employees in the competitive service, eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference applicants and current DFAS VRA employees.Qualifications: This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-9, with a target grade of GS-11. The minimum salary for grade GS-09 is $59,966, the maximum salary is $77,955. The minimum salary for grade GS-11 is $72,553, the maximum salary is $94,317
GS-09: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-7) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as performing financial management data analysis; creating recommendations for business process improvements; and providing customer support for an automated accounting or financial management system.
GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-9) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined asexperience planning, scheduling and conducting reviews and evaluations onfinancial management data analysis; analyzing issues or problems, selecting and applying appropriate analytical techniques and methods in order to recommend solutions or improvements to organizational functions.
Time-in-Grade:
Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
GS 09Time-in-Grade: Current DFAS federal employees who have held a GS-07 position or higher in the preceding 52 weeks on a permanent competitive appointment may be considered.
GS 11Time-in-Grade: Current DFASfederal employees who have held a GS-09 position or higher in the preceding 52 weeks on a permanent competitive appointment may be considered.
