The primary responsibility of the Supervisor – Drop Count is to help oversee all drop and counts of table games, bill validators, poker, hotel food and beverage, retail, box office, canal coin, jackpot dispensing units and kiosks at the Venetian Resort.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Supervises and directs the day-to-day department operations.
- Responsible for overall currency count and drop operations, as well as assisting the Drop Count lead/clerks in their job duties.
- Responsible for reviewing and maintaining department budget and expenses.
- Ensure accuracy of the drop and count.
- Responsible for training, scheduling and reviewing of all drop and count Team Members.
- Supervisor direct reports by organizing workflow, monitoring productivity, and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Responsible for developing and implementing all drop and count procedures as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board Regulations surrounding drop and count procedures.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 2 – 3 years of experience providing supervision and/or managing of drop and/or count operations in a large hotel gaming environment or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of NGCB Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and level of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
