Responsibilities
Position Purpose: The Supervisor of Clinical Operations assumes responsibility of assigned department and assumes some responsibility of the CEO in his/her absence.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Assumes a leadership role in the provision of care for patients receiving services within the unit
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position
- Supervises the smooth functioning of the unit including oversight of daily staffing
- Monitor that necessary personnel, equipment, and supplies are available
- Communicates shift/unit issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Facilitates daily huddles within the unit
- Demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of facility
- Maintains work area and equipment in a pristine manner
- Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation
- Strives to be professional, courteous, helpful, and cooperative
- Assist perioperative personnel in the evaluation of current practice through quality and performance improvement activities
- Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders
- Participate in interviews for perioperative personnel selection
- Oversee new teammate orientation to assigned unit
- Participate in quality review including RCA's and performance improvement projects
- Assist in evaluating perioperative personnel performance and partner with CEO in the performance appraisal process
- Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team
- Use problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to foster effective work relationships
- Maintain required competencies
- Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information
- Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures
- Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and daily safety huddles
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Current RN State License or Surgical Tech Certification in good standing
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Minimum education requirement of HS Diploma or GED
- One year of Nursing or Surgical Tech experience preferred.
