Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in computer science, communications, or a closely related field of study, and 8 years of full-time related experience, of which 5 years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; Or
Desired Skills:
- Experience as a communications technical lead and/or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of manufacturer and industry standards and practices as applies to NYCT's networks and infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret and understand networking drawings and nomenclature for both legacy and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of Telephone Switching instruments, user features and high speed transmission systems.
- Ability to research, analyze, and respond to all inter and intra departmental inquiries from all stakeholders including senior management with a high degree of customer service and integrity.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency utilizing a desktop PC and applications such as MS Office.
- Knowledge of NYCT Rules/Regulations, and Safety Practices and Procedures
- Experience working in a Union environment.
