Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed DOB Superintendent to oversee construction projects in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project compliance with Safety Code Chapter 33 and NYC DOB regulations. Key duties include daily site visits, monitoring project performance, identifying and reporting code violations, and maintaining accurate log books. The ideal candidate must possess a valid NYC DOB Superintendent license and have completed the 62-hour SST training program.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with Safety Code Chapter 33 and NYC DOB regulations
* Verify that all work is performed according to approved plans and permits
* Identify and report any code violations or safety hazards to the project team and DOB officials
* Maintain accurate and detailed log books of site visits, inspections, and any issues or violations observed
* Collaborate with project team to implement corrective actions and resolve code violations
* Verify that all required permits and inspections are obtained and completed
* Keep up-to-date with changes in NYC DOB regulations and Safety Code Chapter 33
Requirements:
* Valid NYC DOB Superintendent license
* Completion of 62-hour SST training program
* Proven experience as a DOB Superintendent or similar role in construction industry
* Strong knowledge of NYC DOB regulations, Safety Code Chapter 33, and construction safety standards
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards or violations
