Supervised by: Classroom Teacher , Classroom SLP and Educational Directors

Overall Responsibility: To provide a well-rounded and well-supervised learning experience in an educational setting for children and teens with special needs. Hours and days vary by site.
- Actively participate in weekly educational planning meetings with teachers.
- Maintain and manage hours by signing in at site, or other system as designated by teacher.
- Assist certified staff in preparation of the educational programs.
- Review student IEPs with the teacher, but do not discuss the students outside of the professional setting.
- Set up the classroom at the beginning of each day and clean up at the end of each day.
- Assist certified staff in the implementation of daily educational experiences, data collection and adjustment of classroom instruction in order to achieve a successful experience for students.
- Supervise students upon arrival, during bathroom breaks, in the classroom and departure.
- Unload and load students from the buses. You are responsible for each student's personal belongings, i.e. car seats, wheelchair equipment, backpacks.
- See that all personal property of the students is carefully labeled and stored properly. As students arrive, check all possessions and store them inside the school building.
- Be with your classroom at all times except during scheduled breaks, unless otherwise directed by the teacher.
- Demonstrate a mature and professional attitude through dependability, punctuality, and genuine awareness.
- Direct any concerns to the certified supervisors first and the educational directors second.
- Assist in other duties as assigned.
