Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Site Administration, the Summer Programming Site Coordinator is responsible for general supervision of the Summer Programming at their school site during the hours of Summer Programming. The Site Coordinator implements applicable district regulations in the Summer Programming; provides programming based on the site Summer Programming plan; keeps accurate records for Payroll, Food Services, Transportation, attendance, and progress monitoring.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise teachers and staff during program hours
- Keep accurate and updated records
- Maintain student data system
- Coordinate and communicate with Food Service and Transportation departments, as needed
- Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and school property during Summer Programming hours
- Attend Summer Programming training with site staff
- Document and submit all payroll hours for program teachers and staff
- Manage discipline and attendance, follow up with Site Administration on actions taken
- Report any endangering situations immediately to the Site Administration or Director
- Follow district procedures and policies for safe operation of the Summer Programming
- Complete inventory and storage/care of materials for each summer program at the site
- Assist in collecting data and conducting exit surveys for program evaluations with support from the Site Administration or Director
- Schedule field trips to complement programming
- Provide front desk coverage during programming hours and close up programming daily
- Ensure effective communication with the Director, Site Administrators, school personnel, parents and students at the assigned site
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with a detail oriented approach
- Can work as part of a team and collaborate with Summer Programming staff
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for building an environment with common instructional focus, promoting initiatives, and conveying expectations
- Maintains a high level of confidential information and be able to follow professional teaching guidelines on confidentiality
- Ability to understand curriculum and content of the regular school day program
- Ability to exercise independent and analytical judgment in organization, operation, and implementation of the site's Summer Programming, including when working with student/staff/parent issues
- Understands principles related to development of youth between 5 and 18 years of age
Certified Hourly Summer Rate: $30.00 per hour
Schedule: 6 hours per day
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Arizona Teacher Certification required
- Priority consideration will be given to returning campus PUSD teachers
