TITLE: MAC - SITE COORDINATOR- MIDDLE SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONSPrefer Bachelor's degree in early childhood education/child development or A.A. in early childhood education/child development and continuing education.Require two years in administration of a school age care program.Demonstrate understanding of high quality programming, and ability to work effectively with young children and families from diverse cultures and lifestyles. Manage program operations and supervise staff.
Work independently and as an effective team member. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Relate to children, parents and staff in a positive manner.Require Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (within 10 days of hire)Require CPR and First Aide Certification.Complete a minimum of 18 hours of in-service credits in appropriate school-age coursework each year.Require proof of Mantoux TB test results (prior to first day of employment). JOB GOAL:To maintain and grow effective and efficient operation of the Madison School District's MAC Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and utilize appropriate instructional materials to stimulate learning, exploration and creativity designed to meet children's special needs.Plan, organize and supervise the duties of the program staff.Maintain informative and supportive relationships with parents. Ensure that the program is in compliance with AZ Dept. of Health Services regarding licensing requirements and coordinate the licensing of staff as needed.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records as required by AZ Dept. of Health Services and the Madison School District.Maintain adequate resources of supplies and equipment.Maintain equipment in safe working order, arranging for repairs or replacement when needed.Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings. 9 Participate in staff hiring and evaluation process.
10. Provide accurate and timely information on the program, as directed by the Director of Community Education. 11.
Create monthly newsletter. 12. Complete a minimum of 18 hours of in service credits in appropriate school-age course work each year.
13. Understand and apply safety precautions as outlined in SDS (safety data sheets). 14.
Relate to children, staff and public in a positive manner. 15. Establish and maintain standards of acceptable behavior using non-punitive methods that support children's self esteem.
16. Contribute to the team by accomplishing additional duties as assigned.. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents in English as well as the ability to write routine correspondence in English.
Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of customer or employees. REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations / issues. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and verbal form.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the Program Supervisor. SUPERVISION:Supervised by the Program Supervisor. Supervise the duty function of Club Leaders.
SALARY SCHEDULE / LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Salary Schedule: $19.19-$25.57 (DOE) 52 weeks / 40 hrs per wk / Benefits
