The Asset Management Analyst Internwill support the Asset Manager or Senior Asset Manager. The Intern will conductfinancial analysis by investigating variance explanations, submitting financialreporting packages, submitting replacement reserve reimbursement requests, andsupporting special projects including, but not limited to, commercial tenantrelations management and managing relationshipswith third party stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor budget to actual variances of property financials, including trending and forecasting, and providing analytical support to financial questions regarding assigned portfolio.
- Research partnership agreements, financing documents, regulatory agreements, and other source documents.
- Prepare and submit variousreports, certifications, forms and other requests to governmental agencies,lenders, and investors in accordance with applicable regulatory and fundingagreements as required. Monitor correspondence and follow up, as needed. Usestakeholder designated methods including e-mail, portal upload, data entry through their websites, etc.
- Support due diligence needs with various finance closings, including buyouts, refinancings, and permanent loan conversions.
- Prepare surplus cashdistribution requests.
- Maintain and improve reporting schedules and trackers of all lender, investor, and regulatory agency requirements. Assist as needed with permanent document storage for acquired properties. Update schedules and trackers for new construction, acquisitions and rehabilitated properties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hight School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to give full attention to the needs of the department and actively look for ways to assist.
- Desire and ability to learn new skills
PREFERRED SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
- PC literate. Knowledge of basic computer Internet use and applications, (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Good communication (verbal and written), decision-making and evaluation skills.
- Experience working with diverse groups.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have reliable transportation.
LANGUAGE, MATH & REASONING SKILLS
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
