HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Education Program Aide provides Educator Guide level program support for Education programs throughout the year. This position reports to the Education Specialist.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provides customer service to program participants
  • Foresees program needs
  • Prepares and ensures availability of program materials
  • Otto Center Technician for Auditorium as needed
  • Operates organization vehicles/mobile cart(s)
  • Provides operational support for Education Programs

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The San Diego Zoo is seeking diverse team members who will support a camp team to create a fun, welcoming and safe environment for all campers. You will collaborate with your camp team to prepare and provide engaging, hands-on experiences such as activities, games and Zoo walks for campers entering grades K-8th, spending a majority of the camp day outdoors. You will assist Educator Guides with camper management, including keeping kids safe, helping to build bonds between campers and ensuring all campers feel like they belong. There will be growth potential opportunities to be able to lead camp activities, if interested, as the summer progresses as well. This position requires that staff participate in training starting in mid-May and are available to work the full length of camp from June 10 - August 12, Monday through Friday.
  • EDUCATIONAND CERTIFICATIONS
    • Current valid California driver's license
