We are seeking a part-time SAIOP Qualified Professional to provide group and individual substance use disorder counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder. The person in this position will work directly with individuals and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs, assist with planning, developing, implementing, and assessing treatment and ancillary services, recommending the types of treatment modalities needed and providing these services directly or by referral. Qualifications: Must be either CADC or CADC-I in North Carolina, At a minimum, a four year degree in a Human Services field and 2 years experience in direct practice, working with clients with mental health and/or Substance Abuse issues.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide group and individual substance use disorder counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder. The person in this position will work directly with individuals and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs, assist with planning, developing, implementing, and assessing treatment and ancillary services, recommending the types of treatment modalities needed and providing these services directly or by referral.

Act as an advocate in the community.
- Respond to client and/or stakeholder concerns or complaints as needed.
- Ensure all services provided are appropriately authorized.
- Create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client's Person-Centered Plan.
- Provide clinical guidance and/or oversight in the development of crisis plans and transition plans when clients move in and out of services.
- Provide written documentation as required. This will include treatment notes, goals, and plans for the medical record (e.g., service notes, person-centered plan)
Duties May Also Include
- DWI Services
- Complete DWI assessments
- Facilitate DWI group and individual treatment
- Complete 508s for DWI assessments and treatment completion
- Ensure that all fees are paid prior to 508 submission
- Other duties appropriate for a Substance use disorder Counselor, as assigned.
- Advocate for the client, family, and natural supports in the community.
