We are seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor ***$2500.00 Sign-on Bonus*** to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans to clients in an individual or group setting.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel and advise individuals or groups with Substance Abuse problems
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans
- Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
- Prepare progress reports and letters for relevant parties
- Educate families and groups on Substance Abuse treatments and prevention programs
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Position Requirements:
The most qualified candidates will possess the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification board - applicants who are not registered will not be considered for employment (LCAS, LCAS-A, LPC, LCSW or CADC). LCAS preferred.
- Experience treating opiate-addicted patients is not a requirement but is preferred.
- Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5:00 AM.
- If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable abstinence is required.
Crossroads was founded on May 5, 2005 to serve a patient population battling with opioid addiction. Since its founding in 2005, we have been a physician led healthcare organization. The company has grown rapidly and now includes 120 treatment centers in 10 states, that is compared to last year with a total of 93 treatment centers. Each member of the Crossroads team specializes in an area that supports the recovery of over 26,000 patients, monthly. Crossroads' clinical staff includes physicians, pharmacists, counselors, nurses, and other service coordinators. Along with medication management, our staff works closely with each patient to create an individualized treatment plan aimed at building recovery and relapse prevention skills. We are also excited to add Primary Care in several sites as a test program, with the eventual roll out state by state in the 2023 calendar year.
