Position Title: Elementary School Nurse
Location: Battle Creek Public Schools
Starting Date: TBD
Rate of Pay: $26 - $35, Depending on qualifications and experience
Hours Worked: 7.5 Hours Per Day, 188 school days per year
Job Description:
- Developing and monitoring health plans for students.
- Treat students and staff as needed.
- Educate students and staff on health and wellness.
- Administer medications to students.
- Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illness.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred, will consider LPN
- Ability to work independently or with others.
- Knowledge of many areas of health.
- Ability to assess situations and act quickly
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Knowledge of state health regulations.
- Ensure compliance with national and local health laws.
- Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
