- Must have a degree OR 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university OR have taken or will take and pass the ETS Parapro test before being hired.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Restorative Practices and Circles Certified
- Experience working with children
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Phase 2 Certified
Job Functions: The SSSP works with students who have specific disabilities and may require assistance with medical, behavior, or academic support. The SSSP works individually with students and also with teachers and administrators.
- Works closely with students who have disabilities and/or are at-risk, which may include but is not limited to medical needs, academic needs, or behavior needs.
- Responsible for providing services to students to enhance academic achievement
- Progress monitoring
- Assessment of students
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Phase 1 Certified Training
- Other medical, academic, and behavior support duties as assigned.
