The Keck School of Medicine of USC, Doctor of Medicine Program, is recruiting a Student Affairs Assistant to join its dynamic team. This role will provide administrative support and event coordination for Doctor of Medicine programs. This is a hybrid position and responsibilities include:
- Greet medical students, faculty and staff who contact or visit the Office of Student Affairs. Refer visitors to responsible faculty, staff, or office for assistance.
- Answer office main line and monitor email ensuring timely responses to inquiries or referring as needed.
- Manage the calendars of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Assistant Dean for Career Advising, and Director of Student Affairs. Schedule individual meetings for medical students and coordinate department and external meeting participation for Associate/Assistant Deans.
- Assist in coordinating events including Match Day and Year 1 Orientation. Reserve event location, produce flyer/invitation, and submit orders for catering, rentals and facilities requests. Disseminate event announcements and information.
- Staff department and committee meetings. Take minutes and produce action items.
- Support wellbeing program by coordinating events and providing administrative support. Meet regularly with the Director and Assistant Director of Wellbeing.
- Coordinate health clearances and clinical onboarding process for medical students. Coordinate access to electronic health records, schedule mask fit testing and PPD placement. Monitor compliance with health requirements and notify medical students, Director of Student Affairs and Registrar of non-compliant students. Meet regularly with staff at clinical affiliates and USC Student Health to support processes and compliance.
The hourly rate range for this position is $23.23 - $29.00.
