Job Summary

Student Assistants play a critical role in the development and operation of Student Inclusion and Belonging through developing and implementing programs, workshops, and events, assisting in the design and distribution of marketing materials, assisting in the implementation of other projects or initiatives, and providing administrative support for Office operations.

Responsibilities

Programming - 80%
Assists with developing and implementing Student Inclusion and Belonging educational and community building programs.
Front desk coverage - 10%
Provide front desk coverage including answering the phone, assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, supply inventory, etc.
Marketing - 10%
Assist in the design and implementation of marketing materials.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively in one on one and group settings
Ability to effectively manage time and multiple projects
Required Experience
Enrolled at GCSU at least half-time.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
Preferred experience with graphic design, social media, and/or marketing of events.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Ability to learn new technology platforms.
SKILLS
Proficient use of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
