Job Description:Under direct supervision, learns and helps to set up a GIS software platform that supports the All History is Local project. Uses the system independently and under supervision to contribute metadata that showcases digital objects and files according to national and West Texas locations. Communicates with grant leaders and fellow students in a professional manner and helps to meet grant deadlines and purpose. Reports to library personnel while also working closely with faculty on the project.
Required Qualifications:- Must be a currently enrolled graduate student.
- Must be able to work in a professional environment.
- Comfort working in a cloud-based computer environment using Microsoft products – primarily Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to learn and work within a robust GIS software platform.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and ask questions when needed.
- Works with great attention to detail and efficiency.
- Ability to organize and complete tasks according to given deadlines.
- Major (undergraduate or graduate) in Computer Science, Biology, History, or similar program.
- Experience using GIS software.
- Maintains a personal laptop for use in the position.

Salary:$16.00 per hour
