Structural Engineer With 3+ Years Experience

The Consulting Engineers Group is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3+ years of Structural Engineering experience to join its team. Our office is located in Albuquerque, NM, but this can be a REMOTE or HYBRID position in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise small team of engineers, BIM modelers, and drafters
• Develop job proposals and monitor project budgets
• Build relationships with existing clients and help establish new clients
• Direct communication with external design professionals, including Architects and Contractors
• Oversee development of plans and calculations to maintain quality control
• Perform calculations in software such as Mathcad, Excel, RISA 3D, and other specialized component design programs on an as need basis

Requirements

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis preferred
• PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
• Ability to interact with customers, managers, engineers, drafters, and other employees
• Ability to lead a team of engineers, BIM modelers, and drafters
• Familiarity with building codes such as IBC, ASCE7, ACI318, and AISC Steel Manual

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Revit
