Pdmlink Product Structure Engineer

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a PDMLink Product Structure Engineer to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM.

Overview:

• Use and apply appropriate standards, such as ASME Y-14.5 2009.
• Develop procedures that meet engineering requirements for the creation and maintenance of Product Structures.
• Develop tooling for use in the production of components fabricated in a Category 2 nuclear facility.
• Work with process technologists to ensure that they are trained appropriately to perform work using tools that have been developed.
• Prepare, review and document technical information for new equipment, including product literature and commercial specifications, for use in our programs.
• Adhere to engineering policies, programs, procedures and practices, such as quality assurance plans and development and production manuals.
• Work daily to maintain Product Structures for existing legacy designs and create new Product Structures for new designs.
• Work independently; work as part of a team and contribute to continuous process improvements to meet customer requirements.

Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

About the Site:

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Math, or related degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience creating, maintaining, and using Product Structures on a daily basis.
• Ability to create and associate WT Parts and documents into the Product Structures.
• Expert level of knowledge related to Creo design software and at least 10 years' experience using CAD software.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with software aided design and drafting. (4-5 years)
• Advanced knowledge of PTC's PDMLink specifically Product Structures.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and basic technical responsibilities, including design and systems technology, within designated discipline (mechanical design/drafting).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
