We are hiring for a Staff Structural Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis while based in the Delray Beach, FL area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to structural design, renovation, and inspection projects.
- Perform structural design & analysis of building structural systems.
- Design and detailing of structures for low-rise & high-rise buildings with a variety of materials (i.e.: concrete, steel, masonry, and timber).
- Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.
- Perform a variety of field inspections (including threshold inspections) and develop corresponding site visit reports.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related technical discipline (i.e.: Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, etc.).
- 4 years of professional experience working in Engineering (preferably with Structural projects).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE in FL is strongly preferred!
- Experience working with the design and analysis of a variety of structural systems / complex projects; experience with nonlinear structural analysis is a plus!
- Experience working with structural inspections.
- Proficiency with engineering / CADD tools; experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM is a plus!
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM, STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad is preferred.
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
