Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a Strategy Project Manager. This job reports to the Vice President of Strategy in the Strategy department of PPFA in the Global, Strategy, and Innovation division. The strategy team is responsible for driving organizational alignment, managing the development of organization-wide goals and strategies, translating these goals and strategies into tactics and day-to-day processes, and collecting and analyzing the relevant information for strategy formulation.
Purpose:
The Strategy Project Manager will work with the Vice President of Strategy and the National Director of Strategy on day-to-day project management of ongoing and special projects of the strategy team. The Strategy Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that multiple cross-functional teams meet planning-related timelines and deliverables, facilitating communications with stakeholders, and building project deliverables in partnership with the strategy team.
Delivery:
Develops systems and processes to manage the strategy team to project timelines and key milestones.- Coordinates engagements with leadership and staff around the development and execution of annual and strategic plans.
- Develops internal communication plans and pieces of communications (e.g. emails, newsletter content) for strategy-led projects and processes.
- Supports data collection and synthesis on internal and external research supporting strategy development (e.g. environmental scans, stakeholder assessments, etc.).
- Supports the development of internal presentations and documents for senior leadership within the organization.
- Contributes to capacity building for the strategy management function (e.g. knowledge management and documentation).
- Other duties as assigned.
Engagement:
Work closely with the strategy team and the OCGSI in supporting the strategy function.- Work with teams and leadership at all levels (Directors, VPs, ELT) to further strategy development and implementation.
- Work with Managing Directors and Project Managers in other divisions to ensure engagements fit within the overall work of the National Office.
- Be a confidential and trusted partner to all PPFA staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
3-4 years in strategy or project management-related roles- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Experience with reporting and synthesizing information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-moving organization and handle multiple concurrent streams of work
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Willingness to try and learn
