Gen II Fund Services is seeking a Strategy and Operations Associate who will work closely with our leadership team to assess and validate strategic growth initiatives which the firm may undertake. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who brings both a proactive approach and a positive mindset. The ideal candidate should thrive in a flat fast-paced organization in which all professionals work collaboratively.
Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
- Build the fact base around strategic opportunities and business-critical objectives that increase revenue and improve the effectiveness of processes and systems.
- Provide market insight, and support to drive the objectives of the leadership team.
- Support senior leadership in framing opportunities to drive decision making.
- Support the development of tools and analytical capabilities critical to sustaining Gen II’s growth trajectory.
- Partner with global teams to help drive cross-functional business process improvements.
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive operational, industry, and financial analysis.
- Design forecasting and financial models to support strategic decision making.
- Support the execution of organization wide transformation initiatives touching on strategy, sales, finance, organization design and a range of other topics.
- Prepare and present models and analysis to C-Suite, Board of Directors, and Investors. Regular interactions with this level are expected.
- Identify potential targets and other partnership opportunities.
- Ensure any applicable metrics and performance pointers are in place to measure progress.
- Identify strategic risks and help to reduce these risks.
Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (concentrations in Accounting, Finance or Economics a plus), MBA preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of consulting, investment banking and/or private equity experience in a strategic associate role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong command of Excel and PowerPoint are required).
- Excellent research, problem solving and financial analytical skills (spreadsheet, database, and presentation skills).
- Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Business Analyst/ Management or Fund Accounting role is desired.
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
