When you join PPGNY as the Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will manage projects that provide training and capacity building to individuals, organizations, and institutions throughout the city and beyond in an effort to strengthen their sexual and reproductive health knowledge, skills, and programs.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Manage professional initiatives, including professional training for providers and organizational capacity building
• Develop, strengthen, and maintain relationships with community partners to support, promote and implement professional programs
• Create training plans, designs and materials and coordinate and conduct on-and off site trainings, webinars or online learning modules for partner organizations and PPGNY staff
• Provide technical assistance to professionals through in-person site visits and via phone, email, and webinar as needed
• Work closely with the leadership of Learning and Practice, as well as the larger team, to ensure collaboration across the programs
• Work with the Learning and Practice team to prepare funder reports, outline progress toward objectives, and develop funder proposals
• Assist the Directors in monitoring program progress toward meeting numerical targets and monitoring related budgets
• Serve as a trainer for the Training Institute, which includes identifying relevant training topics, developing or adapting training designs and conducting on- and off site trainings (both internally and externally) for professionals
• Work with the Learning and Practice team to revise and disseminate PPGNY best practices via manuals, conference presentations, trainings, and provision of technical assistance
• Monitor and coordinate purchasing SRH educational materials and supplies for professional and capacity
• Assist with other professional and capacity building projects or duties as outlined in the PPGNY operation plan or grant applications.

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Human Sexuality or other related field
• 3+ years of related and/or applicable experience
• Extensive experience with communities impacted by adverse health outcomes, knowledge systemic barriers to sexual reproductive health and wellbeing faced by marginalized communities especially women, LGBTQ, poor/working class and communities of color
• History of collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders to achieve ambitious outcomes
• Analysis of how systemic oppression and racism impacts communities of color

• $55,000-63,000

Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
