About the Role
As a Strategic Accounts Manager at Pursuit, you will play a pivotal role in our newly established account management function within the broader partnerships team. Reporting directly to the VP of Account Management, and working with Pursuit's Enterprise, Impact Investment, and Philanthropy teams, you will manage strategy and relationships for our Strategic Accounts to drive philanthropy, impact investment, hiring, employee engagement and more. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring account renewals and upsells through a deep understanding of partners' business goals, executing account strategies, and deepening relationships across various account stakeholders at our strategic partners, including: Blackrock, Uber, Peloton, Union Square Ventures, Robin Hood Foundation, McCrory Foundation and more. Working across the private, philanthropic, government and tech sectors at companies ranging from growth stage to Fortune 500 across all verticals, this individual will have a unique opportunity to work with our best-in-class partners on closing the prosperity gap and increasing diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.
As a Strategic Accounts Manager you will:
- Deliver renewals and upsells for major accounts; identify new opportunities for existing corporate, philanthropic and government accounts
- Manage comprehensive account strategies for Strategic Accounts, encompassing various product offerings.
- Own the client relationship post-sale, establishing regular meeting cadences and reporting to ensure customer success metrics are met.
- Coordinate and manage across internal Pursuit teams, including Impact Investment, Philanthropy, and Enterprise, to create and execute account-based strategies for expanding and deepening client relationships.
- Coordinate across stakeholders at partner teams, (e.g, Investment, CSR, Engineering, and Senior Leadership,) to enable execution of account strategy.
- Identify and build opportunities for employee engagement through events, volunteer for opportunities, and more.
- Navigate complex client corporate structures, identifying and engaging key stakeholders up to the C-suite level.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and build repeatable processes for future account management efforts.
- Develop and contribute to the design and implementation of process and collateral such as communications, narratives, and deck presentations.
- Identify and design, at a high level, events that will deepen partnerships; work with Pursuit events team and partner companies to consistently deliver successful events.
- Deliver reporting and analysis of success as well as recommendations for future partnership building.
What you need to be considered for the Strategic Accounts Manager role:
- 7-10 years of experience in partnership development, strategic partnerships, or customer success.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise account strategy for a $10mm+ annual revenue book of business for at least 5 years.
- Experience managing enterprise-level accounts with cross-functional stakeholders up to the C-suite.
- Successful history of maintaining and growing revenue with existing enterprise-level accounts.
- Proficiency in navigating complex client corporate structures, identifying key stakeholders, and aligning solutions across multiple business objectives.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex ideas, align them with business priorities, and devise actionable strategies to accomplish goals.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, creative thinking, and exceptional relationship-building skills.

- At least 2 days per week in our Long Island City office
Salary & Benefits:
- Total compensation for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 annually.
The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
