State And Local Tax - Associate

The Business Law Department seeks an attorney with five to seven years of experience practicing in the area of State and Local Taxation to join the firm's Tax Group in our Philadelphia office. Ideal candidate will have significant experience with all aspects of transactional work, including drafting and reviewing State and Local Tax provisions in entity agreements and sale documents, State and Local Tax efficient structuring and imposition of transaction taxes such as realty transfer tax and sales and use tax.

Candidate should also have experience with: (1) analysis of client business operations to ensure State and Local Tax compliance in applicable jurisdictions, and (2) State and Local Tax controversy experience at both administrative and court level, including drafting of court filings and argument/hearing experience – with experience in PA required and experience in Philadelphia, NJ and/or NY helpful.

LLM in taxation preferred but not required. Admission to Pennsylvania bar required.
