Competencies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be independently mobile. Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation including but not limited to: computer, telephone, copy machine, and printers. Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach and carry, generally not to exceed lifting of 20 lbs.
- Provide day-to-day processes for Haven Pharmacy and APC-D&S, LLC Distribution Operations
- Knowledge (or ability to learn) Pharmacy Software programs and wholesale distribution software
- Acts as Pharmacist of the Day (POD) when PIC is not available using all appropriate means to maintain Pharmacy running in an efficient manner
- Maintain pharmacy and distribution resource utilization according to policies and procedures
- Knowledge of insurance process and building insurance plans in software system
- Maintain all purchasing requirements for the Pharmacy and Wholesale Distributorship
- Ability to apply correct pricing processes to assure appropriate billing to all payers
- Maintain all reporting as required for the Pharmacy and Wholesale Distributorship
- Knowledge of current rules, regulations, laws and requirements as they pertain to Pharmacy
- Knowledge of Wholesale distributor business including laws and regulations
- Assist with training and skill development program for new and pharmacy staff
- Certified to vaccinate age 12 and older
- Assist and participate in recruiting pharmacy staff as needed
- Assist with Pharmacy specific issues; provide input for future direction of the Pharmacist role and support administration in implementation of programs
- Participate in committees, work groups and task groups as needed to represent Pharmacy Services
- Assist with maintaining an excellent public relations position for all customers for pharmacy and distributorship
- Resource to other functional areas relative to role on an as-needed basis
- May be required to travel to other OBA locations as needed
