Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper

ACS, founded in 1989, is a fabricator of custom, engineered to order ETO, architectural cast stone and precast building products specializing in high end public spaces (Acscaststone.com). Utilizing state of the art 3D modeling tools and using CNC mills and 3D printing we create unique concrete products that few other fabricators nationwide can emulate.

Local projects include Millennium Park, The Chicago Riverwalk, the Navy Pier Centennial Restoration, The Museum Campus, and many more.  ACS does work in many states and some current examples include the new National Geographic Headquarters in Washington D.C., the new football stadium at the US Military Academy at West Point NY, and “The Drift House” in Jackson Wyoming… one of the most unique and complex homes ever built.  Our work routinely receives national recognition.  We are a small 50 person company consisting of the top talent and tradespeople in our industry.

This is a full-time, mostly on-site, role as an Accountant at ACS MANAGEMENT GROUP, LLC located in West Chicago, IL.  The Accountant will be responsible for data entry, managing financial records, preparing preliminary financial statements, and coordinating with our CPA firm.  The Accountant will also be responsible for analyzing financial data, insurance and benefit matters, and communicating financial information to management.

Qualifications:

-          Accounting principles and practices, including GAAP

-          Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

-          Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks and Excel

-          Analytical and problem-solving skills

-          Attention to detail and accuracy

-          Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-          Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 7 years or more relevant experience

-          AP/AR, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, invoicing, and Payroll with associated reporting/filings

-          Some construction accounting experience such as Lien Waivers and Contractors Statement is a plus but will train the right candidate

Full time, benefits, $75-85,000 DOE, occasional work from home ok once up to speed.
