Optiv’s SLED (State, Local, & Education) Contract Manager is primarily responsible for supporting Optiv’s SLED organization through the use, maintenance, expansion, and training related to Optiv’s SLED contract vehicles and SLED sales efforts. This role supports the efforts of the Sr. Director to build an effective SLED organization, streamlining system workflows, enabling field sales teams, interfacing with partner and distributor contacts and ensuring Optiv Security Inc. contract compliance. The SLED Contract Manager acts as a subject matter expert for the sales team and government agencies, providing direction, training, and reporting for internal and external teams.
How you'll make an impact- Manage, educate, report, and expand Optiv contract vehicles
- Organize and maintain internal reference documentation
- Enable field sales on the use of contract vehicles
- Help coordinate opportunity generation, SLED campaigns
- Update and maintain an organized and complete reporting process using data from the Optiv Security CRM and tailoring to the contracting agency needs.
- Submit all reports by the designated deadline.
- Ensure compliance to transaction regulations, including but not limited to sale price maximums, fee accruals, and timely payments.
- Review Contract Vehicle quotes for accuracy prior to purchase/review quotes
- Coordinate with Client Operations Specialists to ensure all necessary documentation and reference information is stored in the CRM.
- Compile contract information and direction for Legal to sign and amend contracts as needed.
- Strategize with Sr. Director to grow State, Local and Educational customer sales.
- Build relationships with alliance partnerships and government contract agencies.
- Work independently to develop efficient policies and procedures that are scalable to a growing organization.
- Develop and retain industry knowledge to be used to identify expertise. Commitment to developing knowledge and experience.
- Manage dashboards of sales performance and distribute as needed.
- Manage Contract Vehicle databases and SharePoint sites with copies of contracts and eligible vendors.
- Act as liaison between Account Manager and government agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- 6-10 years of SLED contract management or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in technical or information technologies industry preferred.
- Prior experience in Client Relationship Management software (CRM) required. Salesforce.com experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a sales partnership setting
- Experience with National contracts and organizations;
- GSA, NASPO, OMNIA, DIR, E-Rate, etc.
- Experience with State and Local Contracts;
- DIR, CMAS, SLP, NY, NJ, FL, etc.
- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office; Specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
