Job description
Our Client is seeking to add a (Jr to mid-level) Staff Accountant to our team! If you are an independent thinker that would like to work in a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities Include
- Prepare monthly general journal entries and provide accounting and analytical support to Management during the month end close process.
- Prepare inter-company, consolidating and elimination entries.
- Prepare schedules and analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information for preparation of financial reports for month end.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, including prepaid and accruals, for general accounting.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly and year-end close to ensure that all financial activities have been accounted for and reconciled to the proper general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate recording of financial information.
- Support management with special projects such as the implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls.
- Perform other job related functions as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 4 years’ experience in Accounting
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects as needed
- Approachable and able to interact with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment
- Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus
