• Collaborate with numerous leaders and King Insurance Partners.
• Monitor, review, and report on trends/patterns of expenses to various managers within King.
• Support the budgeting, planning, forecasting, and outlook processes with King Partners.
• Prepare detailed analysis presentations to communicate results as compared to budget and projected forecast(s).
• Creation of financial KPIs and reporting of Operational KPIs to identify trends, opportunities and proactively identify issues to Operations management.
• Build relationships and collaborate with King Partners to create or enhance process guidelines.
• Identify root causes of variances and participate in efforts to reduce variances. Support the monthly financial closing process.
• Develops budgets and forecasts based on updated assumptions.
• Support actions in other functions by mitigating risk and prioritizing resource needs.
• Proactively sees roadblocks and develops contingency plans/corrective actions to ensure deliverables on financial obligations.
• Work across organizational boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve objectives.
• Shares best practices, process improvements, financial modeling, and procedural changes with key team members.
• Provides creative insight.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):

• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
• Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term and long-term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate into overall work objectives.
• Familiarity with reporting, building reports, and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Takes ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Demonstrates strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Power BI, etc.
• Technical knowledge of financial reporting systems.
• A desire and passion to improve finance deliverables.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, used to perform detailed analysis and prepare presentations.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 3 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Prior experience within the insurance industry preferred.
