Engineering Automation & Design, Inc. is seeking a self-starter who possesses an attention to detail, solid problem-solving abilities, and adaptable communication in writing and speaking and interpersonal skills. Strong technology skills are critical, particularly expertise with Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of ERP software platforms is preferred. Candidate must be able to work in an office environment, both independently and as part of a team to meet tight schedules and deadlines. They must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting. Candidate must also be able to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Typical duties
- Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries
- Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements
- Researching and correcting account discrepancies
- Assisting with audit fieldwork for financial audits
- Overseeing the accounts payable and employee business expense reimbursements processes
- Matching invoices to purchase orders
- Perform special projects and other duties, as assigned
Mission of this role
- Assist the Accounting Manager and/or accounting team with general accounting and data entry tasks and month-end close procedures in the ERP software (Deltek Vision).
Measurable outcomes for this role
- Accurate completion of tasks by deadline dates including, but not limited to, the following:
- Issuing payments to vendors and reimbursements to employee in accordance with due dates
- Performing month-end close procedures in line with the calendar timelines to ensure timely financial reporting for decision-making
- Actively seeking ways to reduce overhead costs, or maximize utilization and benefits received from company assets, services, and infrastructure.
