Transforming Age is a rapidly growing Senior Living network of affiliates dedicated to improving the lives of older adults and Transforming the Perception of Age!We are looking for aStaff Accountantto join our incredible accounting team. This role will be an asset in accounting and finance activities such as fixed asset accounting, journal entry postings, month end close and reporting. Our Accountants:

Our Staff Accountants:

• Perform all Journal Entry posting during month-end for assigned facilities
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts that belong to their respective area
• Ensure accuracy of financial data within general ledger system
• Complete monthly variance analysis reports
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for your assigned facilities
• Serve as main contact for all accounting related concerns with Executive Directors of your assigned facilities
• Manage our Fixed Assets
• Track and report budget to actual of all capital projects
• Review and manage donation activity
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 or more years of professional accounting/finance experience, including GL and Asset Management.
• Knowledge of healthcare or hospitality industries (billing/collections, general ledger, admitting/discharge/transfer, patient care, and other subsidiary systems) preferred
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software (e.g., Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work with a wide variety of people, both within the system and outside
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences
• Ability to troubleshoot and critically think through processes and issues
