Staff Accountant II - Construction
We're looking for a qualified Staff Accountant II to play a crucial supporting role within the Accounting Department. You will manage the daily accounting duties of a portfolio of industrial real estate properties. This will include maintaining the general ledger, reviewing and approving AP vendor invoices, accruing expenses, bank reconciliations, and conducting month-end close procedures.
The most successful people will have previous experience working in property accounting. You will report directly to an Accounting Manager and indirectly to the VP, Operations Controller. You will work in an integrated and collaborative manner with members of the Accounting and Property Management Departments.

Work Arrangement: You will follow a remote work model within the Southern California area.
About The Role
- Perform monthly property management accounting duties. Such accounting duties include review and reconciliation of monthly property financials, proper posting of accruals, and adjusting journal entries.
- Reconcile monthly bank reconciliations.
- Produce monthly flux analysis for income statement and balance sheet for their assigned property group
- Interface and coordinate with property managers and other in-house personnel to facilitate the property management process. Examples would include stop payments on outstanding checks, and processing tenant billbacks.
- Assistance in providing quarter-end and year-end audit and tax packages.
- Interface and coordinate with corporate accounting to assist in accurate internal accounting and corporate budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepared to accept monthly ad hoc projects, which may include straight-line rent, property tax reconciliations, property insurance reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
- 2+ years of accrual accounting experience; preferably in real estate/property management.
- Proficient in Excel (can perform complex functions) and Yardi experience.
- Job Cost and fixed asset accounting experience.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be located in Southern California.
Rexford Industrial's total reward plan includes a premier benefits package, bonus eligibility, and long-term stock incentives. The expected hourly rate range for this role is $37.01 to $43.75 (annualized equivalent of $77,000 to $91,000), with a 10% discretionary annual bonus target and stock grant eligibility. *The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letter.
