Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for accounting functions related to real estate properties and corporate entities. The Staff Accountant will have daily interaction with property managers, property owners, and vendors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
? Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements/reporting packages
? Assist with journal entries and maintain the general ledger
? Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
? Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
? Process cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
? Assist with preparation of common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations
? Monitor daily cash balances
? Assist with processing payroll and payroll journal entries
Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
? Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
? Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
? This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
Education and Experience:
? Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Accounting)
? At least two years of general accounting experience.
? Experience in real estate property accounting is preferred.
Compensation details: 60000-75000 Yearly Salary
