We are hiring for a Staff Accountant for our manufacturing company client in Billerica, MA on 1st Shift. This is a DIRECT HIRE position that is full-time with all benefits. This position will include, but not limited to the following duties:
- Perform general accounting duties, involved in the compiling, analyzing and preparing confidential general, financial and income and expenditure data for management information and action.
- Assist in maintenance of general ledger, making required journal entries, postings, adjustments, accruals, calculation of facility costs posting to appropriate department. Compile and prepare reports and analyses, including inventory reconciliation, balance and spread sheets.
- Generate and maintain spreadsheets to facilitate monthly and year-end reporting.
- Regularly interface with staff regarding inventory and freight.
- Perform other related duties as directed or required.
- Daily processing of A/R invoicing and functions. Maintain A/R aging and provide collection efforts on behalf of overdue accounts. Other A/R related duties as assigned.
- Weekly processing of company checks and follow through to signing and mailing.
- Maintain vendor files and sales tax certificates.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Small-Mid ERP and an overall interest in the development of new technology to improve systems and reporting.
- Assist in job costing and profit and loss analysis.
- Familiarity with ACH payments through banking portals.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
