An Am Law 100 Law Firm seeks a Staff Accountant for the Plaza office in Kansas City.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the quarterly and annual budget reviews
- Prepares daily cash reporting and related journal entries
- Prepares the monthly general ledger account reconciliations
- Accounts for shareholder stock including quarterly dividend calculation
- Handles administration of equipment and furniture leases
- Prepares quarterly sales and use tax filings
- Responds to ad hoc report requests
- Participates in special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2-3 years related accounting experience
- Service industry experience preferred, public accounting experience a plus
- Strong Excel skills a must
