Are you an accountant seeking a full-time position with a varied client base? A thriving accounting practice located in Eagle, Colorado has provided outsourced accounting services to clients throughout the Vail Valley and Summit County for 30 years and is currently seeking an accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for administering accounting operations and providing in-house accounting functions for multiple small to medium-sized clients. The ideal candidate will have the ability to address and administer multiple clients, enjoys taking on any task that comes their way, can work on multiple projects at once, is a self-starter, has the people skills necessary to communicate with clients and employees professionally, as well as provide support to other staff members who contribute to the financial process. The position is Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. and offers a competitive salary, paid vacation, paid holidays, retirement plan, as well as extensive training in the field of accounting.
As an Accountant you will:
- Serve as the accounting lead for several clients
- Assist is the budgeting process and financial statement preparation for our clients
- Help with problem solving any accounting issues that may arise
- Run payroll and pay payroll taxes for several clients
- Assist in bank reconciliations for our clients
- Assist in performing accounts payable for our clients
- Send and process invoices on behalf of our clients
- Answer phone calls and email messages promptly and notify staff members of important information
Requirements
The desired skills of the Accountant include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting Degree preferred
- QuickBooks accounting/payroll software knowledge and proficiency
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, with a knowledge of Word and Excel, and a basic understanding and proficiency of Information Technology as it relates to small and medium-sized businesses
- An understanding of accrual base accounting. A knowledge of fund accounting desired, but not required
- The ability to work independently, assist with a variety of projects and be assertive when necessary with management and clients
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Comfortable communicating on the phone and through e-mail with clients
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi task from multiple administrators
