POSITION SUMMARY:
Partner with the Transition Manager and merchant leadership to ensure critical milestones are delivered on time in the process of merchandise transitions along with ensuring PLM compliance. They will need to develop and maintain strong relationships with the department brands to gather all supporting materials needed for a timely execution of a transition. This role will own the organization of department realignments, working with multiple internal and external cross-functional teams. Ensuring that deadlines are met has a direct impact to the bottom-line sales results for a department. They will look to continuously improve processes and maintain accurate tracking documents for reporting on status to all teams. Excellent people skills and organization are critical for success in this role.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project manage department milestones for the transition process; act as a liaison between the merchants, cross-functional internal teams, and the brands
- Own communication to all parties (internal and external) in regard to in store transitions
- Track and maintain a calendar of deadlines for all department planogram updates AN promotional events; give weekly recaps to the internal team
- Create best practices and processes to improve and streamline the transition calendar process and execution, including creating new tools as needed. Learn from roadblocks and mistakes that come up to continue to improve the process.
- Produce and present KPI metrics on transition milestone deliverables; drive adherence to timelines through change management with leadership
- Leading cross-functional meetings inclusive of weekly Transitions meetings, realignment meetings, etc.
- Maintains Documentations that support Transition Process
- Develop strong relationships with Fixture Manufacturers and brands and follow up with the brands on their deliverables in the process.
- Develop a strong relationship with cross functional teams, the merchant team and merchandising admins, and ensure that we are also completing our deliverables on time.
- Manages contractors as required, ensuring all PLM processes are followed, executed and time. Provide compliance reporting.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in a relevant field (Merchandising, Marketing, Business or Project Management).
- Minimum of 4+ years of merchandising experience required
- Experience managing direct reports and/or contractors preferred, but not required
- Experience managing cross functional relationships and processes. Experience working with vendors preferred.
- Strong organizational ability and can effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Strong problem solving and time management ability.
- Working knowledge of Powerpoint.
- Must be proficient on Microsoft Office platform.
