We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our team. As a Senior Structural Designer, you will be responsible for creating and designing structural plans and drawings for various construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of buildings and structures.
Senior Structural Designer Responsibilities
- Develop detailed structural designs and drawings using drafting software such as SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to determine project requirements and specifications
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and gather necessary data for design purposes
- Perform calculations to ensure structural stability and compliance with building codes and regulations
- Create 2D and 3D models of structures using software such as 3ds Max
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects
- Review and modify existing designs to improve functionality or address issues that arise during construction
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and drafters
Senior Structural Designer Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Structural Designer or similar role
- Proficiency in drafting software such as SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and Rhinoceros 3D
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and regulations
- Experience with graphic design software for creating visual presentations of designs
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
