Organization Overview:
It's an exciting time to be a part of Team Lilly! The Bioanalytical Research Group (BAR) at the Lilly Corporate Center is seeking an experienced scientist to join our mass spectrometry team. This team is responsible for evaluating the ADME properties of small molecule, protein, and genetic medicine modalities in pre-clinical species and for developing innovative bioanalytical applications.

Responsibilities:
- Developing novel mass spectrometric assays to investigate the pharmacokinetics and biotransformation of a wide range of drug modalities in a variety of biological matrices, including tissues.
- Generating, analyzing, and communicating research results, in support of in vivo and in vitro studies, to ADME Project Leaders and/or therapeutic area teams.
Basic Requirements:
- B.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology, biology, chemistry, or equivalent scientific area
- 5+ years of research experience working in a bioanalytical lab
Additional Preferences:
- Expertise in mass spectrometry and the development of LC/MS assays using QQQ and high resolution (orbitrap and Q-ToF) instrumentation is essential.
- Experience with sample preparation techniques used in a bioanalytical laboratory: immunoprecipitation, SPE, LLE, and PPT
- Expertise with wet biochemistry techniques including reduction/alkylation, proteolytic digestion, biotinylation, and protein assays.
- Good organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Working knowledge of immunoassay technologies such as ELISA and MSD.
- Experience with a LIMS system and/or an electronic notebook system is desirable.
- Experience with tissue homogenization and preparation is a plus.
