Sony Electronics Inc.'s Imaging Products & Solutions Americas (IPSA) division has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Regional Account Manager (RAM) - Professional Display Solutions. This is an Outside Sales position in the Northeast U.S. market.
This role is comprised of selling and overall market development within the core verticals of Higher Education, Corporate, Government and Healthcare, and expanding into Retail, Transportation and Large/Public Venue. Primarily focused on AV Presentation applications, product responsibility includes LCD Business Projectors, ProBravia Displays, Pan/Tilt/Zoom Network Cameras, Crystal LED (CLED) direct view LED, as well as IP Microphone and Edge Analytics.
The Sr. Regional Account Manager will be responsible for aligning closely with reseller and distribution partners to drive business and expand market share. Additionally, you will be tasked to establish and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers at end users within the territory, with the objective to become a trusted advisor and valued technology partner. This position will have consistent interface and engagement with Key Account, National Account and Distribution teams at IPSA. A strong understanding of the Sony product portfolio and ability to creatively position Sony solutions against competitive challengers is expected.
Additional critical tasks to be performed include pipeline, forecast and market development fund management and driving internal activities with the intent of providing excellent customer satisfaction and increasing sales. The Sr. Regional Account Manager will interface directly with the reseller, distributor and end user customer, as well as internal marketing, engineering, customer service and demand planning groups to meet goals and objectives. The position will report to the National Sales Manager of Professional Display Solutions Sales.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree is required or equivalent.
  • Must have 5 to 7 years related experience in outside sales
  • Prior experience with creating and executing major account penetration plans. Experience managing multiple reseller/integrator partners. Experience with digital signage and collaboration.
  • Must have a broad business background, strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrated creativity in overcoming sales barriers.
  • Must be able to make professional and compelling presentations; communicate effectively to large and small audiences; and have strong organization and time management skills.
  • Experience and competency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability for Overnight travel is required
  • 60% travel should be expected.
  • Home office based within the territory - CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to quickly understand and analyze sales data
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM tool
  • Consistent track record for exceeding company expectations.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $84,000 to $112,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
