Job description

DRB Systems (“DRB”) is the leading provider of technology-enabled devices and software solutions to the North American car wash industry.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Program Manager to own a strategic, tactical, technological, and elaborate program within our organization. This role requires inventing complex ideas, project plans, developing processes, coordinating, driving execution, and communicating status, risks, and changes to senior management. A high level of cross-functional team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential. This position will lead and contribute to all phases of a highly visible and high-impact development program with a global scope. The Sr. Program Manager will interface regularly with Engineering, Product Management, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Operations while leading assigned programs with frequent communication opportunities in various management and executive forums. Projects will include software development with hardware integration and manufacturing scope. Teams will be comprised of onsite and offsite personnel.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

-        Lead the end-to-end project management process, from project initiation to closure, ensuring successful execution within scope and timeline.

-        Create, communicate, and manage the budget for the program.

-        Development of the overall program strategy of comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, milestones, resources, and deliverables, and regularly track and communicate progress to stakeholders.

-        Determine the best way to adapt existing products and services to expand the company’s business to a global marketplace.

-        Create strategies that meet prospective global customers' and partners' needs and interests.

-        Collaborate closely with executives, cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, formulation of program scope, cost, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and ensure alignment.

-        Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate solutions to keep projects on track.

-        Establish and maintain communication channels to drive effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates, status reports, and addressing concerns or questions.

-        Oversee program management activities, including coordinating multiple interdependent projects, to achieve overarching strategic goals.

-        Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, mentoring and guiding project teams to maximize performance and achieve project objectives.

-        Develop and implement new tools for project management, methodologies, standards, best practices, and continually seeking opportunities to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position works under the general direction of the VP of Strategic Development, exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance in the department. 

HUMAN RELATIONS:

This position interacts with both internal customers.

  • Knowledgeable in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
  • Ability to present technical information in business-friendly and user-friendly language and effectively communicate within all levels of the organization and varied groups.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related; master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years’ experience in program and project management, preferably in technology or new business development, with a successful track record of leading and executing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and on-premises IT deployment models
  • Program/project budgeting and resource management
  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP or PgMP certification is preferred
  • Familiarity and experience in the car wash industry is a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally 2-4 times per year.
